Main Duties:
KFVS-TV, a Raycom Media Station, is looking for a Digital Content Executive Producer who can oversee the news department’s daily digital operations. The ideal candidate has a strong journalism background with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced newsroom environment. The ideal candidate must be able to proactively manage a team of digital content producers while collaborating with editorial, sales and marketing leaders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Overseeing the day-to-day digital content operations that include news and weather coverage on digital platforms including website, mobile apps, OTT, and social media outlets and maintain brand congruity on all digital platforms. Working closely with the Digital Content Manager to execute station digital goals. Assisting in implementation of Digital First and other Raycom initiatives. Writing and publishing news stories. Assigning digital stories to digital content producers. Proofing and editing stories for publishing on digital platforms. Creating photo galleries. Overseeing the creation and management of photo galleries. Editing and clipping video for online use. Create and manage content categories. Creating and managing social posting workflow.
Required Knowledge:
Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager for Recruit to View posts on social media. Driving development and execution of social media strategy to build audience, engagement, and video views. Overseeing the creation of daily content and posts to drive interaction on social media platforms, especially Facebook, and Twitter, but work to expand the digital footprint of other station social media accounts like Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube, etc. Engaging with fans and influencers to build engagement and organic social reach. Helping create and execute test plans to identify best content practices for engagement with current and future audiences, including specific targets. Studying the social media ecosystem and stay up-to-date with all key platforms’ best practices. Training new employees in best practices of web story writing and posting. Troubleshooting problems that may develop with station digital presences. Assisting in tracking analytics, including desktop, OTT, mobile, app, video and social. Work with the Digital Sales Manager to executive contests that involve the content department.
