The Native American Journalists Association’s 2013 calendar offers a collection of images that celebrate the diversity of Indian Country as seen through the lenses of American Indian photographers. From the landscapes of the Southwest to the traditional dances of tribes in Montana, New Mexico and Oklahoma, these photographs represent the work of six skilled photographers from six different states.
For nearly 30 years, NAJA has served and empowered Native journalists through programs and actions designed to enrich journalism and promote Native cultures. This calendar is an extension of that mission and NAJA thanks photographers Ken Blackbird, Tetona Dunlap, Darla Leslie, Benny Polacca, Eugene Tapahe and Adam Sings In The Timber, as well as the Osage News, for participating in the project.
