WSFA-TV has an immediate opening for a full-time Editor/Photojournalist. The requirements for the position include: College degree required from an accredited College or University, majoring in Communications or Journalism. Minimum 1-2 years experience shooting and editing at a local television station. Working with Panasonic P2 camera equipment as well as BitCentral non-linear editing is a plus. Skills/Abilities: Must be able to work well under pressure and daily deadlines. Must have good creative and editorial judgment. Flexible work hours required, including holidays, weekends, evenings and possible overtime hours. Must be available for overnight travel. Ability to lift loads up to 50 lbs. Television Master Control Operator
WSFA 12 News in Montgomery, AL is seeking a full-time Master Control Operator. Candidate must be proficient in the operation of Windows based computers. Tasks will include quality control of video/audio levels into servers and for over the air channels, switching live and recorded programming, record and ingest satellite feeds and segment for air and tune in microwave live shots for news. Additional duties to include; maintaining station, transmitter, and EAS logs in compliance with FCC regulations, keep accurate program log, encode content for air, file transfer content to multiple ftp sites and edit shows for content.
