You must be a NAJA member to apply. Please visit our Membership page to register for a new membership or to renew an expired membership.
Required materials for application to Project Phoenix:
- A Completed Application Form
- Unofficial Transcript(s).
- Letter of Recommendation from adult reference (teacher, advisor, coach, etc.).
- Work sample of writing, photography, or video (Please use a CD, DVD or USB memory stick).
- 500 word essay written in third person as a news story. (Typed, double spaced) Answer each of these questions: Why are you interested in the field of Journalism? Why are you interested in Project Phoenix? What do you think of mainstream media and its coverage of Native Americans?
