The Sarasota Herald-Tribune has openings for beat reporters who can go beyond the daily story. Located on Florida’s Gulf Coast, the Herald-Tribune is a New York Times Co. newspaper with a track record of innovation and serious journalism – in a region that is home to some of the nation’s best beaches and Florida’s premiere arts community.
We need reporters who can juggle three very different demands – ambitious enterprise for the newspaper; turning news developments quickly for the web; and, increasingly, filing smart stories for niche web sites. Above all, we need reporters with the drive, temperament and training to do watchdog journalism. CAR skills are a plus.
Applicants must have at least two years of daily newspaper reporting experience. E-mail resume, clips and cover letter to recruiter@heraldtribune.com.
