Local Sales Manager : WAVE-TV, the NBC Affiliate in Louisville, Kentucky, is seeking a Local Sales Manager to lead and motivate the local sales team. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled leader with well developed skills for managing all aspects of local television sales especially New Business development. The successful candidate will have experience in generating revenues across multiple advertising platforms, hiring and training an aggressive client focused sales staff; forecasting and achievement of annual revenue goals. Knowledge of pricing and yield management of advertising inventory is critical. You must be organized, have exceptional time management skills, a minimum of five years of television advertising sales, preferably three years of sales management and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge of Matrix, One Domain, Wide Orbit and other broadcast software tools is a plus. Account Executive: WAVE-TV, the NBC Affiliate in Louisville, Kentucky has an opening for an Account Executive. Sell broadcast TV air time and special promotions. Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals. Working knowledge of and ability to understand Nielsen rating book. Must demonstrate abilities in “teamwork”, general people skills, superior negotiation skills, and demonstrate an ability to develop account list. Present proper sales appearance. Minimum three (3) years sales, media and/or marketing experience. Must have measurable track record for developing business with existing account base and new clients. Also must have exemplary problem solving skills. Computer skills required. Must be able to lift and carry audio/video equipment. Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. WMBF TV located in Myrtle Beach, SC-a Raycom NBC affiliate has an immediate opening for an Account Executive in the Myrtle Beach office. As an Account Executive you will be expected to call on decision makers for direct accounts and advertising agencies. You will be responsible for creating promotional ideas and presentations for clients. Previous sales experience in television and internet is beneficial. Position requires that candidate is computer literate and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Word, Excel, and Power point is expected, experience with Wide Orbit, One Domain and Matrix is a plus. Professional appearance, demeanor and attitude is required.
